Federal Tax Relief for Florida Taxpayers Affected by Hurricane Idalia…

IRS announced the tax payments for individuals and business in parts of Florida affected by Hurricane Idalia can be deferred until February 15, 2024. Thus far 46 of Florida’s 67 counties are designated emergency areas by the Federal Emergency Management Agency!

This deadline applies to individuals who had a valid extension to file their 2022 tax return that will be due on or before October 16, 2023. The relief does not apply to the tax payments related to 2022 tax year filing that were due on April 18, 2023. The relief postpones various tax filing and payment deadlines that occurred from August 27, 2023, through February 15, 2024.
